01. Tell us about your career to date with Marlin Hawk.

When it came time to search for not only a role but a culture in which I felt supported and irreplaceable, I knew Marlin Hawk was the place for me. I started my career here landing a role on the Business Support team. Working to manage the schedules of 5+ employees, together, we strived to always meet our deadlines and work long hours to complete projects that proved to be successful for the business. I knew over time that I wanted to be a bigger asset to my team. Showing interest in not only the growth of my career but the growth of Marlin Hawk has been recognized in the build-out of my role as Business Support & Client Operations Manager.

02. What attracted you to Marlin Hawk? And how have we delivered on expectations?

I was immediately intrigued by the female representation at the company. I was encouraged by the tenure of the women in the business support team as well as the different hats that they all wore. There was also at least 3-4 women in leadership positions at the time at all different levels; I find this encouraging as I hope to be one to sit on the leadership board someday. Additionally, the locations of our offices made me excited to learn about the cultures in each country and the industries they work in.

03. What has been your greatest achievement so far?

My greatest achievement has been to inspire and motivate others. At a time when Marlin Hawk was beginning to show signs of transition, I was able to put my feelings to the side and reassure others by being the example that growth takes patience and hard work, and it is truly possible to love what you do. Communication is key and being able to practice those skills to keep my teammates focused and gain access to promotions and increased learning opportunities is a huge achievement. It's not always about what you do for yourself, but sometimes in helping yourself you inspire and motivate the world around you.

04. What or who has helped you along the way?

It is impossible to name just one person who helped me along my journey. I am very grateful to have a team around me that values communication on our good and bad days. My team is inspiring as we are all at different levels in our careers striving for success. We are a diverse group of individuals (in all orientations) which makes me even more proud to sit on this team. We share our life experiences with one another that gives an understanding to your colleague’s life and the way they work. Learning the value of teamwork and friendship is something I hold dear to me every day and it starts with my team.

05. How would you describe the culture at Marlin Hawk?

The culture at Marlin Hawk is quite indescribable and proving to be a representation for the future. The culture that once intimidated talent from even applying is now proving that your attire and gender do not equate with efficiency and productivity. As Marlin Hawk sets its standards to be innovative for our clients, we are innovative for ourselves as well. Marlin Hawk is a place where our #1 goal is respect for all. We have also brought everyone from all global offices to connect live (pre-COVID) showing how much value is placed in our culture and that we are more than just business; we are family.
