Benchmarking
We apply the same rigour and innovation to the benchmarking process as we do to our search assignments, continually assessing internal leaders against the external market to empower the right choices for appointments.
We have developed a unique assessment tool for each assignment - our ‘Balance Sheet’ tool gives clients a more scientific approach to candidate selection makes the process more accurate, faster, more efficient and more likely to succeed.
This tool is designed to get to the crux of what, when and how a candidate has added value in order to take them outside of the comfort zone that the process of recounting a career biography normally creates. We draw up a customised ‘Balance Sheet’ assessment exercise for each role we benchmark and this forms the basis for competency-based interviews.
There is not a more targeted or effective benchmarking mechanism for delivery of the most suitable candidates - both from a competency and cultural perspective, irrespective of the nature of the assignment.
Granularity is the key to effective benchmark surveys, otherwise the information they provide is of little use. Marlin Hawk's reports give clients an accurate picture of their position in the market and what they must do to be competitive. Our benchmarking also gives candidates a clear idea of their market value and helps them plan their moves realistically.
