As Head of IT Security, you will be responsible for:

- To Take a strategic view on the development of IT Security, engaging fully with IT and business stakeholders to understand their objectives and gain their confidence so as to be able to contribute IT service that enables the business.

- To build and develop an IT Security function that is ultimately capable of being committed to ensuring the business has the right focus on IT Security matters.

- To be capable of delivering significant change, particularly in the behaviour and practices of others outside of immediate line control.

- To introduce best practice IT Security principles within own function, IT Service Delivery, and evangelise throughout the whole IT function.

- Establish a comprehensive framework within IT Security within which has all necessary control, compliance and conformance requirements accommodated.

Necessary skills and experience:

- A history as the number one in IT Security in a large blue chip environment.

- A proven track record of driving successful IT Security functions.

- Evidence of the building and management of a successful IT Security team

- Responsibility for formulating, setting and implementing a IT Security strategy.

- Demonstrable experience of heading up IT Security in an industry that retains a large amount of sensitive external customer data.

- Ability to demonstrate commercial influence and negotiation skills at senior stakeholder and board levels.
